Lost in the midst the Rex Ryan foot-fetish-video controversy yesterday was Santonio Holmes' toe. Holmes, the Jets' best big-play receiver, sat out practice yesterday with a turf-toe injury he suffered in Sunday's game in Pittsburgh. The Jets believe he'll be available to play against the Bears on Sunday in Chicago. "During the game, I guess he had a toe injury and I never thought it was that bad," Ryan said. "I never knew that we would have to hold him out [of practice], but it was bad enough to hold him out [yesterday]. I expect him to play, but he was not comfortable." Ryan said he "thinks" Holmes will be able to practice today and/or tomorrow. "I don't think he's out by any stretch of the imagination," Ryan said. Holmes has 47 catches and four TDs in 10 games this season. Source: New York Post
