Bears Coach Lovie Smith Says He'll Play His Starters Vs. Packers

  1. Bears head coach Lovie Smith has said he will play his starters against the Green Bay Packers despite the Eagles' loss securing the No. 2 seed and first-round bye for the Bears. He reiterated that on a conference call with Packers writers on Wednesday. "We plan on playing our guys. this week," Smith said according to the Milwauke Journal Sentinel. "I don't know what else I need to tell you besides that."

  5. Why would the Bears do any favors for their divisional rival Packers? They still have a shot at the No. 1 seed.

    The NFL did the right thing making Week 17 all divisional matchups......

    Looks like the Packers are going to have to earn that wild card spot instead of having it handed to them by Lovie resting the starters. Some think Lovie should play his starters, some think he should rest em. May the best team win on sunday.
