After two tense meetings in the morning that yielded no deal, Bengals president Mike Brown reached out to head coach Marvin Lewis Tuesday afternoon and the two agreed to make some unspecified changes as they head into the 2011 season. That conversation concluded talks that inked a two-year deal, making Lewis the longest-tenured head coach in Bengals history. He now looks to his ninth season, passing the record held by Sam Wyche and Paul Brown. "I'm glad to hear it. He's an excellent coach and showed how well he can relate to his players this year," said left tackle Andrew Whitworth. "We kept playing hard and fighting even during the ten-game losing streak." I think that it's now obvious that Marvin Lewis has incriminating photos of the owner because this decision doesn't make an ounce of sense.
