From Chad Ochocinco’s perspective under the bus, the tire tracks are still fresh. This hasn’t turned into a major news item yet, but for now it’s worth passing along that Ochocinco still hasn’t gotten the surprise left jab delivered by head coach Marvin Lewis from several weeks ago. You remember, the one in which Lewis said the then-hobbled Ochocinco was “being his mopey self.†Well, Lewis will be back in Cincinnati next season, but we’re not so sure about Ochocinco and when asked about Lewis’ return on Sporting News Radio with 2 Live Stews, Ochocinco said he had nothing to say, and then went ahead and said some things. “I have nothing to say about that,†he said, per Sports Radio Interviews. “I’m not the owner of the team. My hands are out of that situation. The only thing I can remember, as of right now, about Coach Lewis, is Coach Lewis throwing me under the bus. When it was time to play the Chargers, knowing that I was hurt. That’s the only thing I can remember at this point.†For that matter, Ochocinco isn’t even sure he can play for Lewis again. “I don’t know. Honestly, I don’t know. To say some of the things that have been said in the past, for some reason, when I was especially down. When you look for support, it’s always got to come from the one higher up. For the one higher up to say the things he said, it’s really hurt. I don’t see myself really feeling [that].†Source: NFL.com
If it were my call I'd ship him out - I'm sure Oakland or Washington would love to have his services.
Oakland deserves a pass this year....they did finish at .500. Even though firing Cable was completely goobered.
well, lewis won this battle then, because he got his contract first ............ if ocho doesn't want to play for lewis, he's going to be getting a new address
He isn't going anywhere with another receiver/TE that wears 85, unless he makes them give up their number.
