Vince Young lost the staring contest between he and Jeff Fisher for the heart of Bud Adams and is likely to be released by the team soon, as finding a trading partner for the former Texas star is unlikely. Just how unlikely though? Very unlikely, according to CBS Sports' Charley Casserly, who reported on The NFL Today that he doesn't expect there to be any interest in Young around the NFL next year. "Look for Young to be released by the Titans on or about February 7th, the first day you can release players," Casserly said. "However, I surveyed all of the teams that need a starting quarterback in the NFL and none of them were interested in Vince Young as their starter. But I believe he will also be signed as a backup in the offseason." Young was the starting quarterback on one of the best teams in the AFC, trying to get healthy so he could hook up with Randy Moss on deep balls and cementing himself as one of the most impressive maturation stories in the NFL. Now he's likely headed to the NFL's version of the "street" and even teams like Arizona, Carolina, Seattle and Minnesota appear uninterested in Young's services. Source: CBS Sports
About the only person who is shocked is Bud Adams. Maybe one day he'll see what a turd Young turned into.
Young is going back to being a back up no matter where he goes...and we all know how that will turn out.
People who want a decent back up QB. Whoever that may be. But if he keeps up his antics I wouldn't sign him.
Plus his contract is a joke for what he is going to be, a backup at best. The only real benefit to a trade is being the team who exclusively gets him. No bidding war with other teams. Well, news flash.....nobody wants your whiny butt Vince.
Time to pack his bags and head North of the border. The guy has had at least 2 known mental meltdowns and I just don't see another NFL team taking a chance on him
^^ What everyone has said already. The people who were advising VY gravely overestimated his stock ........ dude has been nothing more than an 'ok' nfl qb on the field with a TON of baggage off the field ........... someone will be desperate enough to sign him but no one is giving up draft picks for this guy, who may be nothing more than Jeff George version 2.0
He takes a back up job or he goes to Canada...tyhat really seems to be his only choices right now. Nobody is going to risk giving him a starting role.
