Speaking after the Ravens' heartbreaking 31-24 loss to the Steelers on Saturday, running back Ray Rice said he had not eaten in the past 24 hours, and to take fluid from IVs because of his stomach virus, according to NFL.com's Mike Duffy. It's hard to believe Rice wasn't at least partially affected by his illness, but it's not exactly as if under-performing against the Steelers is something new for him. His virus very likely was not the difference in the game. Source: RotoTimes
He probably couldn't eat because of his stomach virus. He vomited the day before. I had something similar, more like a stomach flu, and couldn't keep anything down that I ate.
It was well publicized that he was feeling under the weather and throwing up... I had the same a couple months ago...it was awful...
eh, i was watching him pretty closely and he wasn't running 'quite' as strongly as normal but i'm not sure it was enough of a difference that the outcome of the game would have changed.
