With the Ravens aerial attack perhaps needing a boost, could the organization be interested in a former NFL wide receiver who was one of the league’s top vertical threats during his time? Plaxico Burress is nearing the end of a two-year sentence for carrying an unregistered Glock into a nightclub that fired and wounded him in the leg. Burress, 33, is set to be released in June. Over a three-season span between 2005 and 2007, Burress led the New York Giants in receptions (209), receiving yards (3,227) and touchdown catches (29) and caught the game-winning touchdown in Super Bowl XLII over the New England Patriots. Coach John Harbaugh said the team would consider any player who could help the Ravens go further into the postseason. “I don’t know Plaxico Burress at all, I’ve never met him, but we’d consider him.†Harbaugh said Monday. “We’d consider anybody. It just depends on where he’s at. I’d like to find out what kind of person he is, to see where he’s really at in his life.†Source: Baltimore Sun
Don't the Ravens add a WR in his 30's every year to help their passing attack? Mason, Boldin, Stallworth, Housh, Ok, Boldin or Stallworth might have been 29 when they signed, but not for long. Either way, eventually they're gonna have to hit in the draft.
Wont happen, i guess the media still doesnt understand that Harbs will give this type of answer for virtually anybody, we will be looking in the draft.
