The Oakland Raiders have made it official, promoting offensive coordinator Hue Jackson to head coach, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation. Jackson is a former Baltimore Ravens quarterbacks coach who rejuvenated the Raiders' offense as they improved to 8-8 last season. Now, Raiders owner Al Davis is looking for further improvement. Jackson is a former Washington Redskins, Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals assistant. He's highly regarded for his play-calling and how he relates to players. Source: National Football Post
I like this hire for them, Hue is a good coach, players relate to him and he's worked all over the offense and has good results from the units he's coached.
I hope what I just said above doesn't happen as Jackson is a good coach but knowing Davis......it wouldn't surprise me either. He just fired a guy that led them to their first non-losing season in eight years. I wonder what the odds are about this on bodog.com? Adam Schefter: Twitter.com
Hue's a strong personality that likes to do things his way...I don't think he's going to be the puppet that Al requires. This will end badly.
