Laurence Maroney, 25, is being held on unlawful weapons charges and drug charges according to KMOV TV in St. Louis. Maroney and 3 other men were in a vehicle pulled over by officers late Monday night. Maroney is a running back for the Denver Broncos. He was traded late in the season by the New England Patriots who drafted Maroney in the first round of the 2006 NFL draft. In four games for the Broncos, Maroney had 36 carries for 74 yards, with 4 receptions for 50 yards, but was inactive for the final eight games of the regular season. Source: KMOV TV St. Louis
