The Baltimore Ravens didn’t hesitate to re-sign Pro Bowl kicker Billy Cundiff. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter tweeted late on Saturday that Baltimore re-signed Cundiff to a five year, $15 million deal that he is expected to sign this week. Cundiff had bounced around from several teams before signing with Baltimore late in the 2009 season and beat out Shayne Graham for the job last summer at training camp. Cundiff connected on 26 out of 29 field goal attempts and set an NFL record with 40 touchbacks during the 2010 season. He averaged a remarkable 71.1 yards per kickoff to lead the NFL and had touchbacks on 51.3% of his kickoffs. Source: Baltimore Sports Report
Decent? He only made 89.7% of his field goals (26/29), didn't miss an extra point, and tied the NFL touchback mark. That's all. ...
It seems odd that he was crapty for the many years before that, then all of the sudden he turned into a 2000% better kicker. Maybe he's got Sauerbrun's special juice?
