    Marcus Allen was 38 when he retired in April 1998.

    Ken Strong of the Giants was the oldest running back in NFL history at the age of 41. Jim Thorpe was the other running back to play in his 40's. He was 40 when he retired.

    If I were in his position I'd do it. Its his decision. He's a pro. I'm sure he knows the risks/reward potential. I don't think he'll be all pro but if the guy wants to give it a shot, why not. Better than reading about him going to trial for hiring a teenaged prostitute, storming into a hotel room with guns drawn to reclaim his possessions or getting pulled over for dwi.
