The Baltimore Ravens are scheduled to meet with offensive lineman Jared Gaither to discuss a new contract, a league source said on Monday. The left tackle, who missed all season with a back injury, is a potential free agent and someone the Ravens would like to retain. The sides are scheduled to talk on Wednesday, the source said. Gaither and the team were at odds on occasion regarding the extent of his injury but a league source indicated Gaither is now healthy. Gaither has immense physical gifts and has shined at times since being taken out of the supplemental draft from Maryland to try to replace future Hall of Famer Jonathan Ogden. Source: NFL.com
I was stoked before this season to get him and a more seasoned Oher on the same line but Gaither & Rosenhaus' bullcrap really killed that dream - it'd be nice if we could retain him but preferably without Rosenhaus on his shoulder.
