Vikings defensive end Everson Griffen made headlines this week for wrong reasons when he was arrested twice in three days in Los Angeles and now a party he's hosting in Las Vegas this weekend has brought him more negatve attention. According to this ESPN story, USC athletic department officials have banned their football players from attending a Vegas trip and party hosted by Griffen, who played at that school. ESPN reports that USC athletic director Pat Haden sent an email to the team and to every student-athlete on campus, saying he believes their eligibility could be in jeopardy if they attend the event. The school reportedly believes that former USC linebacker Jordan Campbell and the event-planning group 1st Round Entertainment also are involved in the trip/party. According to ESPN, "1st Round Entertainment is operated by USC student Teague Egan, a former NFL agent who had his license revoked by the NFL Players Association in December after he was found to have given a free golf cart ride to USC tailback Dillon Baxter."
