NFL commissioner Roger Goodell expressed satisfaction in Michael Vick on Friday, even as confusion over whether the Philadelphia Eagles QB would host a Super Bowl party in Dallas began to clear. Goodell said Vick's renaissance this season -- less than two years after finishing a federal sentence for a dogfighting conviction -- is a point of pride for him. But Goodell said a party that had been advertised as hosted by Michael Vick was not something the QB would be affiliated with. "I spoke to Michael three times in the last two weeks about his schedule here –- what he'd be doing," Goodell said. "He has said that on numerous occasions people have been using his name about being involved in some type of party, but that he had no intention of participating in that." Last June, a party for Vick that was open to the public ended with a man being shot. It drew scrutiny for Vick -- who Goodell said had no room for error when he reinstated him in 2009 -- and for his decision-making.
