The New York Knicks have acquired Carmelo Anthony, league sources told ESPN The Magazine's senior writer Chris Broussard on Monday night.

League sources also told Broussard that none of the teams can officially confirm the deal until Tuesday.

The swap is a three-way deal including Minnesota, a league source told Broussard.

As a part of the deal, Denver will get Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofey Mozgov, the Knicks' 2014 first-round draft pick, the Warriors' 2012 second-round pick, the Warriors' 2013 second-round pick and $3 million in cash while Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams, Anthony Carter and Renaldo Balkman will head to New York, according to the Denver Post.

Really interesting listening to the experts and how the Knicks with Melo and Amare don't play D and therefore won't win a Championship. As a Suns fan I assure you it's a lot more fun and engaging as a fan to support a team that runs and guns their way to the playoffs and sometimes very deep (Conference championships, NBA finals) vs. supporting a "balanced" team and praying you make it to the playoffs because you've become irrelevant. A Championship is secondary to having a team that can get you there, but may not finish the deal.
Would love to be in New York and feel the electricity inside MSG.

    Inclulbus WE ARE! .. Marshall!

knicks took a step in the right direction, especially with getting Chauncey too. just need to add decent depth, and they'll be golden for awhile.

Pretty sweet deal for the Knicks, now all they need is a C. They should have tried to send Felton to POR for Miller & Camby. Then they'd start Miller - Fields - Melo - Amar'e - Camby instead of Felton - Fields - Melo - Amar'e - Turiaf

I'd love to have Camby back. Oh well, it's still a win-win for the Knicks. I can't wait for sunday night's game vs the Heat.

Except the fact they don't have a decent center.

Well I really feel the Knicks will address that this offseason. Who knows....think Dwight Howard and/or Chris Paul would look good playing under MSG's lights?

    Yes, but it won't happen.

Why wouldn't it? The Knicks are poised to spend and those are the big fish out in the sea. New York has no problem flashing top dollar for them. The question might be who will outbid them?

Paul, maybe, but Howard is gonna stay with the Magic IMO.

Corey Brewer IMO is a vastly underrated addition. The type of player wasted on a bad team. Long, athletic player with a limited offensive game, but capable of defending the to SG's and SF's in the game.

When you gotta get through Boston and Miami in the playoffs, a guy like Brewer becomes invaluable

Ive been hearing they may bring back Felton in the offseason, which judging by the way he played in that system is all they need to be minimum a top 3 team in the East over the next 5 years
