The questions about allegations of drug use came up early for Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett as he took to the lectern in the media room at the NFL combine. And after seven and a half minutes, he promptly ended his press conference. “I said I’m not going to talk about it here,†said Mallett several times as the media peppered him with questions about allegations raised by former Rams and Panthers personnel man Tony Softli that Mallett stayed out of the 2010 draft because of a drug addiction problem. “I’m going to talk to the teams about it.†When the subject came up for the third time, Mallett again said he wasn’t going to discuss it with the media and said, “Thanks guys.†and walked from the lectern appearing a bit frustrated as to how things unfolded. Mallett said he laughed when he heard the rumors put out there by Softli, and felt the timing in which they were made convinced him it was done for a reason. Source: USA Today
I can't explain how much I don't like him. I agree with Wes Bunting if I'm a GM he isn't on my board.
If the rumors are false you sit up there like an adult and answer the questions, news flash Mallett, the media isnt going anywhere
maybe he did have a drug problem and he has it fixed and he doesnt want to talk about it in the media he told them he didnt want to talk about it and they relented. I dont really care that he walked off we have seen star players do the same thing
Then you own up to it and say I had a problem but that's behind me now. When a coach "hurts his feelings" during film study is he going to get up and run out of the room?
He ain't a star yet....thus might just show he can't handle the pressure...what's he goona do whenbhe loses a big game and the media relentlessly ask him questions.
