Washington Redskins coach Mike Shanahan said that kick returner Brandon Banks continues to recover from a stab wound that caused him to be hospitalized for seven days with a collapsed left lung. Members of the Redskins' staff have continued to monitor Banks' progress. The return man hopes to resume his offseason training in another two to three weeks. "When I talked to him last, he was doing very well," Shanahan said. "Hopefully there's no setback. I talked to him right when he was getting out of the hospital. He felt good." Shanahan said that he lectured the 23-year-old Banks about the dangerous position athletes - and people in general -- put themselves in when going out at late at night. "Nothing good happens after 2 o'clock in the morning," Shanahan said. "Oh yeah. He knows that [now]." Source: Washington Post
Great news. You don't ever want to hurt about a player getting injured, so good to hear he is doing well.
