Titan Insider's Terry McCormack reports that Tennessee will likely have interest in newly released defensive end Andre Carter. Carter never fit into the Redskins' 4-3 defensive scheme and was deemed expendable yesterday and they dumped the 31-year-old as part of their annual roster purge. But his 6-4, 257-pound frame might make him a fit in Tennessee as the Titans hope to get bigger along the defensive line, he is also said to have been a steady influence in the development of Brian Orakpo. The Titans also play in the 4-3 but Carter would be a low cost alternative to free agent Jason Babin. Carter's best two years in a Redskins uniform occurred when New Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray was the secondary coach in Washington, Carter had 10.5 sacks in 2007 and 11 sacks in 2009 and he totalled 21.5 sacks in those two years.

Andre Carter is a beast in the 4-3, hes terrible in a 3-4.
