NFL owners have not been keen on the idea of opening their books for players to see. And what reason do they give players for not handing over financial information? "They said, 'even if we provided that information, you wouldn't be able to understand it,'" Sean Morey said today at the NFL Players' Association board of player representatives meetings in Marco Island, Fla. Morey is one of dozens of players here this week to discuss and learn about the state of the union -- or trade association, as the case may be -- and pass the information on to teammates. ... Though [the former Brown Bear] he retired before the start of the 2010 season, Morey was at the majority of the mediated sessions in Washington, and is passionate about players' rights, including health concerns. What a bunch of buttholes, I'd punch someone right in the face if they said something like that straight to me.
Most of the owners, don't look at actual numbers either. They have their own small accounting firms on staff. Looking at the bottom line and which dept is spending more than normal is about as far as it goes for most owners.
Heaven forbid that the players have lawyers of their own to look over anything...condescending buttholes the owners are...wow
It's funny how the owners are operating. If you don't think the "players" can read the books, hand them over instead of offering them a ridiculous proposal and saying it is good and was close to being done. It was awful from a players perspective.
Beat me to it Ward. What harm is there in showing a pie chart to a buncha 1st graders then? Like most people in the world, the more these rodheads open their cum dumpsters, the more dumb we know them to be.
this is just ridiculously stupid. Calling the players dumb isn't going to help. Crap, my guess is the players selected as their team representatives are one of the top 3 smartest guys on their respective teams.
to say the players are to dumb is a insult to the players most of which are college degree holders . but from a owner point of view i would not open my books to my employees which by he way as a player you are only a employee .
