Eagles Want No. 5 Overall Pick In Exchange For QB Kevin Kolb?

Discussion in 'Philadelphia Eagles' started by BigBlueBruiser, Mar 27, 2011.

  1. Pro Football Weekly's insiders in the desert would be surprised if the Cardinals were willing to actually give up the fifth overall pick in the draft in exchange for Eagles QB Kevin Kolb — which is what PFW is hearing it reportedly would take to land him. The Cardinals are reportedly the top suitor to acquire Kolb. According to Sports Illustrated's Peter King, the Eagles already have a firm offer for a first-round pick. It's highly unlikely the Cardinals would actually deal a top five draft pick for Kolb, especially when they have pressing issues on defense and Texas A&M LB Von Miller and LSU CB Patrick Peterson could very well be available at No. 5. It's more likely the Cardinals would deal 2012 picks in a deal for Kolb, something the Eagles reportedly would accept.

  2. This is getting ridiculous.....Andy Reid never held McNabb in this high regard.

Kolb isn't exactly like Joe Montana Andy.

If he is worth the #5 overall pick, dont you think he would be starting

Dont care how well Vick played. Im not trading a first round, or evena second round pick for a QB that got benched

If it was a legit proven starter I'd say heck yes, but #5 overall for a guy who has played sparingly at best and been very inconsistent in his limited time...you gotta be out of your freaking mind, Fat Andy.

Andy Reed is a genius if he gets a high first round pick for kolb....kolb is worth whatever a tram will pay for him.

Trams are notoriously thrifty. I wouldn't expect any of them to offer much more than a free ride up the mountain.

Agree 100%. However, with the way the QB market is this offseason, Kolb's value is higher than it normally would be. The cardinals would be out if their minds to give the 5th pick overall for Kolb. Reid indeed would because genius pulling that off. But I wouldn't be that surprised...Reid got a 2nd Rounder from Miami for Feeley...lol.

  9. The Eagles getting Patrick Peterson should be deemed illegal. lol

I think if they did this they would draft someone in the 3rd or 4th

    Mabey Dalton or Kaepernick

I think they need a good quality back up in Philly. Vick is going to miss games, its the way he plays the game. Kolb is a good quality back up.

I would love Fairley with the fifth pick, It would be a steal and Jimmy Smith. If the Eagles could get those two guys I would be ecstatic.

I would give up on god if they got the 5th pick for Kolb

There is only one top 10 pick (not ours obviously) they could get for him that would make me very happy, and I dont think I need to say what team that would be
