Carlos Rogers, who has been a Redskin longer than all but three of his teammates, has waited almost six years to become an unrestricted free agent. Now the cornerback will have to wait even longer because of the lockout imposed by the NFL after the Players Association decertified as a union after 16 days of negotiations failed to produce a new collective bargaining agreement. Although Rogers also lost his first shot at full-fledged free agency in 2010 when fifth-year players became restricted not unrestricted because of the uncapped year, he's not uptight about his situation. Rogers was also not worried about the lack of any serious negotiations between the Redskins, who chose Rogers ninth overall in the 2005 draft, and his agent, Todd France, while the parties were allowed to talk contract. Rogers doesn't know what to think about the lack of love expressed by owner Dan Snyder, general manager Bruce Allen and coach Mike Shanahan, who declined to tender him at the highest level a year ago and haven't made a serious attempt to re-sign him to a long-term contract since. "My agent said six teams called last year before I re-signed with the Redskins so I know there'll be interest if I become a free agent," said Rogers "I want to stay in Washington, but if I become a free agent, I'm going to be talking to everyone. It's not going to be me automatically going back because I've always been there."

Haha, I have an inside source with the Redskins if you will, dude told me he came into Redskins Park (this was before the whole CBA happened of course) with his agent, sat down and said he would want 50mil. He said if you look at him compared to the top CB's in the league his numbers are pretty much identical.............except in interceptions.

Yup - and that's exactly why his butt isn't getting 50mil or close to it. Take him if you want R3al, he's a pretty decent cover corner, but don't expect him to get a pick except maybe every 1/80 times the ball is thrown his way.

I would take him down in Miami HTTR. Davis is the INT machine, Smith is a average CB who doesn't make INTs.

I'll take him in Pittsburgh...with the exception of Polamalu, the backend doesn't catch balls...lol.

If he didn't want so much money he'd be worth it, hell we'd keep him, but he's not worth that much money.

Oh yea he isnt worth all that but is better than anything we have, maybe besides Winfield.

Yeah he'd be good there, hell I don't want to lose him and if Vinny Cerrato was still here he'd already be resigned. I'd like him here, but I know we aren't giving him that amount of money.

I think Rogers is a solid #2 CB, but Im not giving him $50 million.

HTTR, who long of a deal is he expecting if he wants 50 million?
