It's completely insane to ban Rose forever and not give him a shot, but still let worthless cu**s like the steroid users be on the ballot. Tell me what's the greater evil, being a gambling addict and betting on games in which you don't play a part, or doing all kinds of drugs to show fans you're something you're not? I'm not trying to argue for Rose to be in the hall here. But I am saying it's a completely bullcrap double standard that's being applied to him one way and others in a different way. Mark McGwire loaded himself up on steroids and defrauded us all for years and won't admit it like a cat, even when given the opportunity to come clean or whatever. HE'S the piece of crap who doesn't deserve to get a shot. If the writers think Rose doesn't deserve to be in for character issues the way they do with McGwire, so be it but at least McGwire gets a chance. Not that he deserves it.
Rose bet on his team to WIN. No harm in that. Today's athletes can kill, be jailed, take banned substances and still have their name in the ballot hat. You don't see the hypocrisy in that?
