Falcons Looking To Trade Up For Georgia WR A.J. Green?

Some in Atlanta are pushing for the Falcons to trade up in the first round of the draft to acquire one of the top prospects at wide receiver. The top-ranked receiver, Georgia's A.J. Green, is being projected to go as high as No. 1 overall and he probably won't get past the Browns at No. 6, however. Atlanta could use another weapon at receiver and there's no doubt that the team is interested in the draft's top talents at the position, but the cost will be great to move so far up the board from their slot with the 27th overall pick. Sources doubt that the Falcons would pull the trigger and put together the package it would take to be in position to land Green.

Can there even be trades in a lockout?

And future draft picks are at the risk of the team dealing them according to the league.

NothiNg for players. And you can't select a player and then trade him ala Eli Manning/Philip Rivers...

Not needed really, Jenkins has actually stepped it up enough to be a decent #2 WR, the thing we really need is help in the secondary. So if were to trade a guap of picks to get Peterson, I'd be all for it.
