The New York Jets have their quarterback of the present and future in Mark Sanchez, but they conducted a private, on-campus workout Friday with TCU's Andy Dalton, according to a league source. Dalton is a fast-rising prospect who could slip into the bottom of the first round, according to scouts. The Jets own the 30th overall pick. While it makes no sense for them to invest another first-round pick in a quarterback, the Jets' interest in Dalton could be a way to entice quarterback-needy teams below them to trade up, increasing the value of the Jets' position. That might be a tough sell, considering they picked Sanchez fifth overall only two years ago. Source: ESPN New York
