Pro Football Weekly hears that Jets second-year cornerback Kyle Wilson could be the leading candidate to be the team's nickel corner, the position the team hoped he would play in '10. Antonio Cromartie, who received a first- and third-round tender, is expected to return. While Marquice Cole is impressive as a gunner on special teams, that's where he's needed, not at corner, leaving Wilson to battle Drew Coleman, who got a sixth-round tender this offseason. With Cromartie and Revis forming one of the top CB duos in the league, there's not a lot of room for Wilson on the outside. But two of the league's top slot receivers, Wes Welker and Davone Bess, are in the Jets' division and they need good nickel play, an area where Wilson can contribute. Source: Pro Football Weekly
