The home of the Raiders is about to get an aka…The O, that’s because the Oakland-Alameda Coliseum Authority is expected to approve a deal that will rename the Oakland-Alameda County to Overstock.com Coliseum. Looking for a corporate sponsor since MacAfee Inc. let their deal run out in 2008, Overstock.com is expected to pay $1.2 million a year for the next six years, according to the Oakland Tribune. The agreement with Overstock.com was made despite an uncertain future for the Coliseum, whose two professional sports franchise tenants — the A’s and Raiders — have indicated desires to leave what next year will become the only stadium in the country housing a professional baseball and football team. However, the name may not exist for long as Overstock.com is re-branding itself to O.co and the company has the right to change the name to O.co Coliseum at any time. Source: Football News Now
