The federal judge who lifted the NFL lockout has denied the league's request to put her ruling on hold. U.S. District Judge Susan Richard Nelson wrote late Wednesday that the NFL "has not met its burden for a stay pending appeal, expedited or otherwise." The league wanted Nelson to keep the lockout in place while it appeals her ruling, arguing that starting free agency and other football activities before there's clarity on the status of this case could be damaging to the league's competitive balance and general operations. Players wrote to the judge earlier Wednesday to argue against the league's request for a stay, contending that a continuation of the lockout harms the NFL as much as it does the players. Pissed the wrong snitch off this time....Not allowing the players into the facilities to workout or get treatment really pissed her off I bet.
So now we sit in this bullcrap half on half off realm. YIPEE! Rodger Goodell is right....just get back to the freaking table and make a deal buttholes!
Judge's 20 page order takes her 89 page order from Mon and hits the major points even harder. Makes NFL's attempt to get overturned harder. Twitter
She isn't freaking around and I applaud her for that. The NFL deliberately disobeyed her ruling and she is not going to allow that bullcrap to stand. Another win for the players.
If Goodell doesn't comply by opening up the league year with free agency, etc.....Nelson should throw him in jail. Seriously. Players: 2 NFL/Owners: 0
