With the 135th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select Iowa QB Ricky Stanzi. A developing passer who consistently makes proper choices in the pocket, Stanzi is patient, displays a sense of awareness, and has terrific field vision. Stands strong in the pocket, takes the big hit in order to get the throw away, and throws a catchable pbutt. Quickly locates the open wide out, nicely places the ball into receivers' hands, and does an outstanding job controlling the offense. Stanzi has been a productive college quarterback who has shown improvement in his game. He understands the position and has enough physical skills to be drafted in the middle rounds with the hopes of development down the road.
