Mets shortstop Jose Reyes to the San Francisco Giants? Makes sense on paper, and that's likely why the defending champs have discussed the idea.A major league source told CSNBayArea.com Tuesday that the Giants have had internal discussions about acquiring Reyes, who becomes a free agent after this season. They have the need, because third baseman Pablo Sandoval is out for about seven weeks due to hand surgery; struggling Miguel Tejada has moved from shortstop to third; and utility man Mike Fontenot is playing short. the giants can talk about this all they want, i don't see why the mets would trade reyes away. he along with wright & davis are the nuecleus of the mets.
you think will stop them from offering a big contract to one of their franchise players in the off-season ? they will recover pretty quickly with their t.v. and ticket money. they may not be the yankees but it's still new york and he's a cornerstone for that organization. i just don't see him going anywhere.
