A report from Thescore.com in Toronto earlier today indicated that the Saints and Jaguars might be in play to possibly move to Toronto. Today, the New Orleans Saints issued a statement to squash that rumor. "Reports about the Saints as a potential team moving to Toronto are completely false. The New Orleans Saints are committed to the city of New Orleans," said Greg Bensel, Vice President of Communications. Also James Varney of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports the team's long-term lease in the Superdome, signed in 2009, runs through 2025 and Greg Bensel noted, with a 5-year option on top of that, the Saints intend to, "have our team playing in front of the greatest fans in the NFL for many years to come." SaintsReport? Yeah I doubt this has any clout in regards to New Orleans. Jacksonville have faced a couple of blackouts in recent years haven't they? I guess if the market is demanding enough in Toronto I could see that.
Yeah. They usually take rumors like this and blow it up to a 50 page thread of OMGZ...THE SAINTS R MOOVIN!!!!!"
It isn't that bad there. I posted there for years. They usually don't allow bullcrap on that site. Got tired of just hearing one side of a story.
