The Washington Redskins appear ready to turn their quarterback job over to John Beck, who turns 30 in August, has just four starts on his resume and has already been with three teams in four years. The Redskins, heading into Shanahan's second season running things, are kicking veteran Donovan McNabb to the curb in favor of Beck, whose only starts came in 2007 with the Miami Dolphins. Credit that one to the Shanahan family -- son, Kyle, is the team's offensive coordinator. Inside the team's building, there are plenty who wonder why McNabb won't be around to be the starter. "I'll tell you why," one source said. "The son doesn't like him." Pete Prisco of CBS Sports wanted to talk with Beck for this column, but his agent declined in part because of the recent flurry of attention Beck has received. Source: CBS Sports
Lol... BREAKING NEWS!!! McNabb couldn't beat out Rex Grossman...cant really blame Kylie for not being a fan on "5."
Ward let's be honest. Mcnabb is 10 times better than Grossman. The only reason Grossman played was because little Shanny didn't like Mcnabb.
As much as I despise McAsshat, I have to agree with this. I think 5 has some gas left in the tank. My personal opinion is that he is in a no win situation. Unless he single handed took them to the SB he will stink it up in Washington.
agreed. Idk why he agreed to go to Washington. They had no o.line, no run game, and only one decent WR in Santana Moss.
1. It's not like he had an option. They didn't say 'McNabb, where would you like to go?', although I wouldn't be surprised if Reid did have that type of discussion behind closed doors. 2. He could've went to the Bills. He could've went to the Raiders. He could've went to the Panthers. He could've went some places far worse than Washington.
That's what I'm saying. The owner is more hecked up but you see the owner a lot less than you see the coaches. It's a better team too.
I think Reid without question had that convo with Mcnabb. at least the Raiders have some decent WR's.
