Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Terrelle Pryor is looking into entering the NFL supplemental draft or a possible one-year contract from the Candian Football League. According to sources, Pryor met with three agents over the weekend, including super-agent Drew Rosenhaus of Rosenhaus Sports. Pryor is one of five Buckeyes who have already been suspended for the first five games of the 2011 season for taking money and tattoos from local tattoo-parlor owner Edward Rife, who pleaded guilty last week to federal drug trafficking and money-laundering charges. A day after coach Jim Tressel's forced resignation for lying about Ohio State players receiving improper benefits, Pryor is now under investigation for his succession of used cars. Pryor drove up to a players-only team meeting on Monday night in a coal-black Nissan 350Z sports car with 30-day plates and the automotive information site Edmunds.com lists a recent, used 350Z, which it calls "a proper sports car for the everyman," as costing between $16,000 and $27,000. If Pryor wants any chance at all to play this season and still get a paycheck....he should take that one-year offer from the CFL. He could use a full season to improve his ability as a passer and prove he can be a professional quarterback.
It's a tough call......but getting out of Ohio State now is probably the smart thing to do....even if its considered unethical.
His coach hurt him though, even if he came out this year he would have been a low pick or not at all. He hasn't shown to be a complete qb or scramble qb . He is stuck in the middle with no idea whether he can play another position, because how long it took him to get comfortable at OSU.
Kind of sad how misguided this guy is, he could have done a major reclamation to his draft stock if he was in the position to go back, do all te right things duing the suspension, play well afterwards. It's not like he's this great prospect, he needs every bit of damage control he can get.
If Newton got drafted 1st overall with all his baggage, then I fail to see a team not taking a flyer on Pryor in the SuppDraft. After all, receiving money isn't like shooting someone, domestic assault, rape etc. like a load of these draft prospects who do get drafted high do. And as far as I know, he isn't a massive butt like Newton is (correct me if I'm wrong).
