Wide receiver Plaxico Burress is set to be released from prison this Monday. He’s spent two years there after violating New York’s stringent gun laws. Burress is looking for another shot in the NFL, and by all accounts, the Eagles seem like the next landing spot for Burress, although according to one of Burress’ former teammates, Philadelphia could have some competition. Giants running back Brandon Jacobs told Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger that the Rams could also be in the mix for Burress’ services: “I’ve heard him say that, too, yeah,†Jacobs said. “He said he wouldn’t mind going out there to play for ‘Spags.’†Source: Football News Now
