The Redskins have won the Super bowl the same season after the last two labor disputes were solved in 1982 and 1987. Could it happen again? haha
Another random thought... that was 20 years ago when the Redskins were relevant on the field as oppose to just a punchline for their crapty owner.
Really? We were? That's news to me. Last I remember everyone overlooked the Redskins because we were smaller and were 'nobodies.'
i think the point was about being relevant. only the haynesworth and mcnabb drama kept the redskins in the news last season.
The Redskins were never really talked about till the 91 season and that's because we went 14-2. I'm sure if it wasn't for the record we still wouldn't have been anything like other teams. I remember watching old stuff before our first SB win and it was all, Redskins aren't good enough to beat so and so, bla bla bla. Then we did, then we couldn't beat Dallas, then the Killer B's would have us, etc, etc, etc. I agree we probably had a more positive image than now, but that's fine, I'm confident Bruce Allen will get us turned around. I mean look how fast he's gotten Snyder to make changes and do better things.
