David Tyree was a special teams standout for the majority of his career up until the point he made a sensational one-handed reception, pinning the ball against the side of his helmet on the game-winning drive in Super Bowl XLII. Now, Tyree will be known for something off the football field. He’s taken a firm stance against same-s*x marriages and also questioned the ability of same-s*x couples to raise children, according to Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News. The New York State Assembly approved a same-s*x marriage bill on Wednesday and Tyree appeared in a video produced for the National Organization for Marriage. In the video, Tyree said “anarchy†will follow if homosexuals are allowed to legally marry. "If they pass this gay marriage bill, what I know will happen is this will be the beginning of our country sliding toward … it's a strong word, but, anarchy," Tyree said, per Vacchiano. "That will be the moment itself where our country loses its grip with what's right. Marriage is one of those things that is the backbone of society. So if you redefine it, it changes the way we educate our children, it changes the perception of what is good, what is right, what is just." Source: National Football Post
Glad to see that somebody is not scared of the media, I hope he doesn't appoligize later. A real man stands up for what he believes no matter the consequences.
Like Rashard Mendenhall...lol. He gets ripped for speaking his mind, Tyree gets praised. Both idiotic and ludicrous.
Really. Screw that. ANARCHY? Hell why doesn't he just come out and say god will throw firebolts and descend from heaven to burn us all. What bullcrap.
i was just thinking that the clear canidate to say something like this is someone who likes the c**k so much but cant let it be known.
