Once the NFL lockout is lifted and free agency can commence, the Tennessee Titans are most likely to explore all their options at quarterback, including a surprise candidate from Seattle. Sporting News' Titans correspondent, Jim Wyatt, a team beat writer for The Tennessean, appeared on Friday's podcast of "Huddle Up" with Sporting News' Vinnie Iyer and Alisha Hord to discuss the Titans' offseason, their quarterback situation and some off-the-field news with Kenny Britt Wyatt said the Titans, who selected Jake Locker with the No. 8 overall pick in the 2011 draft, will look to possibly add a veteran quarterback to the staff to help mentor the rookie. “Keep Matt Hasselbeck on the radar. ... I’m talking about three members of the front office, all have ties to Seattle," Wyatt said. "They know Matt Hasselbeck. Likely Jake Locker knows Matt Hasselbeck because he’s worked with him some ways, been out in Washington. I think they’ll make a run at Hasselbeck first just to see his interest and just to see what’s going to shake out there in Seattle. If his future with the Seahawks continues. If they can make that work, that could happen. If not, I think it’s Kerry Collins." Wyatt also said Locker should adjust to the Titans organization, especially if he’s given the chance to work under a more experienced play-caller. “In time, he’s going to be a good fit for the Titans. I just think it’s going to take a little time. I think he fits in well.†Source: AOL Sporting News
