Texans LB Brian Cushing On James Harrison's Comments: "I'll Pray For Him"

Discussion in 'Houston Texans' started by BigBlueBruiser, Jul 13, 2011.

  1. Houston Texans linebacker Brian Cushing refuses to get involved in a war of words with Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison, who called Cushing out along with many others in the August issue of Men's Journal. Of Cushing, Harrison said, "juiced out of his mind." When asked to respond to that criticism Cushing told FOX 26 Sports, "I'll pray for him." Cushing was suspended for the first four games of last season for testing positive for a masking agent that could have been used as a cover for performance enhancing drugs. Cushing has vehemently denied breaking any NFL rules and Houston Texans owner Bob McNair is one of his staunchest supporters. Cushing was hardly the only target in Harrison's rant that included him labeling NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell a "crook." Harrison, the 2008 Associated Press NFL Defensive Player of the Year, also told the magazine in reference to Goodell, "If that man was on fire and I had to piss to put him out, I wouldn't do it," Harrison said. "I hate him and will never respect him." Harrison also referred to former New England Patriots stars Rodney Harrison and Tedy Bruschi as "clowns."

Did someone really expect something more from Cushing? This is toxic for him to discuss.
