Ring Of Honor Sold, Coming Back To TV In September

Here's the official press release from the ROH website:

Sinclair Broadcasting group are the owners of MyNetwork TV and the CW. They also own TV stations all over the US that are affiliates with FOX, CBS and NBC.

This is great news. I started getting into ROH right before they announced HDNet was pulling the plug on their show. What really adds some intrigue is that I could picture a scenario where ROH debuts on TV with CM Punk on their roster. His contract is up soon and reportedly he's not happy with the way he's being used and burned out from the WWE's schedule. ROH could be a perfect fit for him and give him a stage to show he can earn some money.

I would totally mark out if CM Punk ended back at ROH.

That would be sweet. Maybe reunite the Second City Saints with Colt Cabana?

 

Low Ki (Kaval for all you WWE-only fans) is out there too. Wonder if Austin Aries would want another tour of duty? He sounded like someone who was throwing in the towel for good after he didn't make the cut for Tough Enough. Hell, if I were Samoa Joe I'd be trying to figure out any way to get out of my TNA (or whatever they call that joke of a company these days) contract.

 

Austin Aries is 10 times better than most of the crap WWE is putting out there right now, and Punk is the only reason I watch WWE anymore. If he ends up on ROH, that would be awesome.

 

How sweet would it be for ROH's first show to bring in CM Punk with WWE gold? One can only dream...

Hey in all reality.....would it be that bad of a move? Vince pretty much killed wrestling's greatest farm system in the territories that he ate up. ROH has got some hot talent....maybe letting them raise their game isn't a bad thing either.
