It isn't ignorant. People go to the beach in the same weather, in direct sun..for several hours. Weather as far as HEAT goes..is invalid. However, the rainout stuff, I understand about. I know the rain in florida is nuts, and never predictable. its like that here, as well.

However, northerners complaining about the heat for a few days is ignorant.

ummmm yes i have been in that kind of humidity but maybe try comprehending next time. i said not the deciding factor. you even have my statement in the part you bolded.

so yeah it's part of it but not the biggest factor. the transplant issue is BY FAR the biggest problem. moreso than all the other excuses combined.

oh and yeah the dolphins draw better in the fall - of course that means suddenly all the "other stuff" you people have to do stops then right ?

The heat is valid because there is the water to cool off with even if it's 85 degrees at the beach. But never knowing if a game is going to be delayed or postponed prevent a lot of fans who travel to the game. IE those who don't live 10 or less miles.

who is complaining from the north ? i'm pointing out that the heat isnt the biggest issue.

You should know that football runs everything. Going during the early months in Miami is like going during a blizzard. And you completely missed my point if before Loria became the owner, the Marlins had a great turnout night in and night out. Then the whole front office excuse of not having profits from the stadium will be gone.

I agree. Football is going to draw a bigger crowd, because it is indeed the hottest sport there is. Period. And the RAIN part of the weather is the only legit reasoning on it. Yankees, Red Sox..Phillies fans all endure harsh colder weather sometimes in late september, early october to see their teams play. So yes, the TEMPERATURE of the weather is ignorant to argue about.

Smeagle, I never said anyone was complaining. I said those that do..are ignorant. Period. That'd be like a southerner complaining for two weeks of harsh winter, which by the way...is nothing compared to northerner's harsh winters. I love the cold, and would take 40 degrees as a high over 100 any day of the week.

may wanna check the attendence stats for the team prior and during lori's ownership.

again to me the biggest issue is the make-up of the population largely consisting of transplants. it's an unavoidable fact that a change in venue isnt nessicarily going to change. then again it seems that the philly south fans down there are getting a nice new stadium to watch the phils throttle the marlins in. :icon_cool:
