Plaxico Burress came out of prison wearing an old-style Phillies hat with a big "P." That "P" was for Philly not for Plaxico. As he reported in June, Gary Myers of the New York Daily News believes that the Eagles will be first in line to sign Burress. He is the big red zone receiver the Eagles need, and he sure hasn't been bashful about hiding his desire to play the City of Brotherly Love. "The Eagles could be the team" one GM said.

I think they should pbutt. Who would you want on the field, him or Avante. I would take Avante

To get him on the field, you would have to sit your chain mover and move Maclin inside in 3 WR sets

Plax is a better WR then Avante, but thats ^^^ a weaker unit IMO

I mean, I'd take the guy... his height and skills couldn't hurt the team. But I highly doubt we are the team looking to sign him the most (first in line).

Red zone guy, plus your WR corps is more the smaller quicker, so i can see the marginal interest in Plax

Can be play TE? Stick him on the other side of Celek.

I'd take him if he was on the cheap. We need more red-zone weapons. Plus if he pans out, they could flip him for a draft pick in 2012.

But they seem really high on Riley Cooper that I doubt Burress would want to be 5th in line behind Jackson/Maclin/Avant/Cooper.

cooper would take a back seat but only for a bit. if there is interest i cant see anything beyond a three year deal where the eagles can get out after one.

he would be a spot player at best the first year and even then a decoy most of the time. He might get 10-15 targets the whole season and that could lead to 4-5 TD's, which would be the biggest impact. He wouldn't take as much time from our other WR's as you would think.
