While the owners are halfway through their day in a meeting in Atlanta, the players will hold a teleconference this evening. NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith will hold a conference call with the 32 player representatives beginning at 8 p.m. (EDT), according to many reports. During that call, the players could hold a vote in terms of ratifying the tentative agreement the group has struck with the owners. It is believed the owners will approve the deal in their meeting later today, putting the ball in the court of the players, but this isn’t a done deal yet, whether we have one tonight, who knows?
