    Jihad Joe Life to Infidels

What are your early picks for this upcoming season's awards

For fun, Im doing mine Madden style, with MVP, DMVP, OROY, DROY, and positional awards.

MVP: Phillip Rivers. The old guard at QB is slowing, and Rivers along with Rothlisberger are primed to take that top slot

NFC MVP: Aaron Rodgers. I think he lose's out closely to Rivers as Rodgers has better support

DMVP: Demarcus Ware. If its close, he'll get it. Too many close but no cigar seasons

AFC DMVP: Brandon Merriweather. A darkhorse pick, but i think the two time pro Bowler is primed to take that step up. Chungs ascension I believe helps him take that step

OROY: Mikel Leshore: i think he beats out best as the featured back. Wont be overworked, so unlike some rookies that might get heavy carry's he wont wear down late. 1k and 10 TD's are a strong possibility

AFC OROY: Daniel Thomas: Has a clearer track to the job, but I believe Leshore is on a better team, and is the better player. Still 1K and 10 tds is a strong possibility

DROY- Kenrick Ellis: Will probably walk right into the NT/DT spot in Ryans scheme is and is absolutely ferocious. In that scheme, I think he will be a dominate presence from day 1

NFC DROY- Dquan Bowers: He is supposedly healthy, and is going to play angry. I was a huge Bowers supporter, I felt if healthy, he was the best DL in the draft

QB of the year- Just look at both my MVP's

HB of the year: Jonathan Stewart, great runner has been playing in a 2 back his whole career will finally be the man. His legs are fresher then the other top backs

AFC HB of the year: Darren Mcfadden: great season last year with room to improve.Dangerous both as a runner and receiver

WR of the Year: Reggie Wayne, Elite WR playing for a contract means big things

NFC WR of the year: Miles Austin. Was on pace for 100 catch's and 1600 yards when Romo went down. Expect a big season from him

Offensive Lineman of the Year: D'brickishaw Fergeson. Already an elite OT, expect more passing from Sanchez and Fergeson is going to be a big reason why he succeeds

NFC Offensive Lineman of the Year: Jason Peters. Peters has settled in after a rough first year and a rough start to last year in Philly. Peter has to face Ware, Orakpo and the Giants crew 6 times a year and can shut any of them down

Defensive Lineman of the Year: Ndamukong Suh. How often do DT's, rookie DT's no less get 10 sacks nowadays?

AFC Defensive Lineman of the Year:
Kenrick Ellis: Yep, he will be that good

Linebacker of the year: Patrick Willis. Typed in Ware, but he is already DMVP and isnt a true LB

AFC Linebacker of the year: Jerod Mayo: An elite LB in NE's hybrid scheme. Like Willis, can play inside in a 3-4 or a 4-3 at a very high level

Defensive back of the Year: Brandon Merriweather; See previous writeup

NFC DB of the year: Antrell Rolle. Ball hawking safety is poised for a huge season with the Giants improvement on the DL

Coach of the Year: Jim Schwartz , Detroit has slowly been built the proper way, and this year is Schwartz payoff. I see a possible 11-5 record

Coach of the year AFC: Hue Jackson, The Chiefs were a mirage, and the Bronco's should again be a bottom team. The Raiders may huge improvements last year and should battle the Chargers for the West. I see 9-7/10-6, but to get that with this franchise with QB question marks deserves this spot IMO

  2. K Train

    K Train Do You Honeycutt?

MVP: Adrian Peterson. Minnesota is going to run through him and only him....i wouldnt be surprised with 1800 yards and 20+ TDs

NFC MVP: Aaron Rodgers. Hes just honing his skills and getting better and better.

DMVP: Ndamakong Suh. Hes that good

AFC DMVP: Eric Berry. I believe he explodes onto the scene

NFC OROY: Julio Jones. Fell into a perfect situation

AFC OROY: Greg Little...hes too versatile not to get involved all over the place in the browns offense

AFC DROY- Von Miller, i think he and doom will get abused in the run game, but they will get sacks

NFC DROY- Tough pick between Patrick Peterson, Robert Quinn, and Nick Fairley

Fairley just put up one of the most impressive seasons ive ever seen from a DT, second behind Suh, and now hes playing UT next to Suh.....if suh can get that kind of recognition, the rookie next to him might just explode onto the scene.

Peterson will likely have some big time hits, some great plays on defense, and probably a healthy amount of return TDs

And i just think Robert Quinn is the truth

    QB of the year- Rodgers

NFC HB of the year: Peterson

AFC HB of the year: Jamaal Charles

AFC WR of the Year: Mike Wallace....at least a 12 TD season

NFC WR of the year: Calvin Johnson...teatoring on the brink of greatness, i think its only a matter of time before he passes fitz and andre in the hearts of the viewers

Offensive Lineman of the Year: Jake Long still

NFC Offensive Lineman of the Year: Mike Iupati

Defensive Lineman of the Year: Ndamukong Suh.

AFC Defensive Lineman of the Year: Haloti Ngata

Linebacker of the year: Patrick Willis.

AFC Linebacker of the year: Timmons, he builds on his breakout year behind a healthy and younger dline rotation
Defensive back of the Year: Still going with Berry...merriweather has too many WTF moments

NFC DB of the year: Asante Samuel

Coach of the Year: Jim Schwartz ,

  3. cover the spread

    cover the spread beastin'

If B. Meri wins AFC DMVP the Patriots defense will be sick mcnasty

    my predictions:

MVP: Rodgers; he's got the ring, he's gotten better every year, and now one of his favorite targets is coming back healthy.

    NFCMVP: Rodgers

DMVP: Cameron Wake; he's a monster and not a one-dimensional player like some people think.

NFC DMVP: Demarcus Ware; already a beast, a better secondary and an aggressive scheme courtesy of Rob Ryan only makes him better

AFC OROY: AJ Green; I believe the hype, and with Ocho and T.O most likely leaving he'll be the #1 in Cincy and get more than his fair share of targets

AFC DROY: Kelvin Shepphard. A dark horse pick; Outside of Poz buffalo's linebackers are awful. he'll have a great chance at starting, will put up good tackle numbers and should help improve the Bills' terrible run defense. Dareus will make the most impact, but Shepphard will be more noticeable.

NFC OROY: Julio Jones; pretty much what K-Train said

NFC DROY: Patrick Peterson; will make a ton of highlight reel plays, both on D and ST

    QB: Rodgers

    AFC HB: Jammal Charles

    NFC HB: Peterson

AFC WR: Wes Welker; a year removed from surgery and an allegedly down year, Welker is ready for his revenge tour

NFC WR: Greg Jennings; cements himself as a top 5 WR

    Offensive Lineman: Joe Thomas

    NFC Offensive Lineman: Josh Sitton

Defensive Lineman of the Year: Haloti Ngata

    NFC DL: Ndamukong Suh

Linebacker of the Year: Patrick Willis

AFC Linebacker of the Year: I would love Mayo to get it, but I have to go with Lawrence Timmons

DB of the year: Ed Reed; assuming his healthy there's no reason to suggest he won't continue to dominatr

NFC DB of the year: Nick Collins

Coach of the Year: Raheem Morrs

  4. Chipper10

Chipper10 Back 2 Back! Roll Tide Roll!

MVP: Matt Ryan. Yes, Really. Roddy White. Julio Jones. Goodnight.

    NFCMVP: Matt Ryan

DMVP: Suh. This man is just nasty good.

    AFC DMVP: Eric Berry

AFC OROY: AJ Green. It would be hard not to pick them, as long as Cincy has a decent QB.

AFC DROY: Marcel Dareus. Yes. This guy is going to be huge in Buffalo, as long as he stays healthy.

NFC OROY: JULLLIO JONES! This dude played with a steel plate in his hand most of last season at 'Bama. Matt Ryan is his QB. Roddy White on the opposite side. Yes. Expect it to happen, hands down.

NFC DROY: As much as it pains me to say it, Nick Fairley. Suh and Fairley in that DLine is nasty. Those offensive line can't block both all the time, and they know what Suh can do..expect Fairley in the backfield often.

QB: Matt Ryan or Tom Brady.

    AFC HB: Arian Foster

    NFC HB: Stewart.

    AFC WR: Wes Welker

NFC WR: Reggie Bush (if he makes the move to WR for the Saints, or another NFC Team.)

    Offensive Lineman: D'Brickshaw Ferguson

    NFC Offensive Lineman: Jahri Evans

Defensive Lineman of the Year: Nadamukong Suh

    AFCDL: Ngata

Linebacker of the Year: Patrick Willis

AFC Linebacker of the Year: I want to say Demeco Ryans, but Timmons is hard to count out

DB of the year: Ed Reed

NFC DB of the year: Malcom Jenkins or Nick Collins

    Coach of the Year: Schwartz

Chipper10 Back 2 Back! Roll Tide Roll!

Nnamadi is a beast. He's gonna block for himself, throw to himself, defend every player on opposite teams, while sacking the quarterback.

Lol. But I get what Ward is doing. There can't be awards with no CBA fully approved.
