Saints Agree To Terms With Ex-Clemson S DeAndre McDaniel

  1. Saints agreed to terms with former Clemson safety DeAndre McDaniel. It's a nice fit. McDaniel struggles are primarily in coverage, and the Saints are good about keeping their strong safeties from having to roam around the back end too often. McDaniel plays the run reasonably well and has an obvious nose for the ball with 15 interceptions in his college career. He may have to excel on special teams early to avoid the practice squad, though.

A safety net if Harper doesn't re-sign? I don't think they'd let Harper go unless they can't agree to a deal with him. I think both parties want him back in New Orleans, we'll just see. either way, nice pick up for us.
