49ers To Release QB David Carr Thursday

    49ers quarterback David Carr will be released Thursday, a source tells CSN Bay Area. By releasing Carr, the Niners will clear up $2.375 million in cap room. If they are going to make a serious run at free agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, that will certainly help. The 49ers are ready to roll with Alex Smith and rookie Colin Kaepernick at quarterback.

    wow what a waste and to think we cut shaun hill for that guy. He played one snap and gave the panthers their one win of the season last year.
