Texans To Offer Free Agent CB Nnamdi Asomugha $14M A Year?

  1. Michael Lombardi of NFL Network is hearing the Texans has moved into the lead for free agent cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha. Lombardi reports the money will be in the $12-14 million per year range. ESPN NFL Insider Chris Mortensen speculated that Houston would offer Asomugha the most money in free agency.

    He's pulling a Drew Rosenhaus. Put it out there that they're offering a TON of money and drive up the price. This is dumb for the Texans. If they sign him they'll be trading him in 2 years like they did to Dunta Robinson. AND if they make this deal they totally handcuff themselves for making any other deals.

    Niners can prob match but I am not sure I want them too. Would be a nice signing for Houston.

    Well, this definitely different from their previous free agency strategy of signing some mediocre player (Jacque Reeves, Phillip Buchanon, Jason Allen.......) and hope they some how play better for us.

    hes a great player but hes also thirty and thats not so young for a corner. if your gonna sign him, it should be for 4 years or less.
