It appears likely that Plaxico Burress will be playing for one of his two former teams, the New York Giants or the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to team and league sources. After a dinner with Giants coach Tom Coughlin on Friday night, Burress plans to fly to Pittsburgh to meet with coach Mike Tomlin, sources said. Sources believe only a productive, fence-mending meeting between Burress and Coughlin stands between the wide receiver rejoining the Giants and making more than $10 million over two years. However, Tomlin expects to make his own strong sales pitch for Burress to join the Steelers, who made him a first-round draft choice out of Michigan State in 2000, sources added. The Giants have talked of paying Burress in the range of $10.5 million over two years, approximately 60 percent in salary and bonuses with the balance earned on play-time performance and incentives. LETS GO 6 WRs in 2011....Wallace, Sanders, Brown, Plax, Ward, Sweed. im ok with that Cut battle and El because they are worthless
For a guy whose in his mid thirties, hasn't played in two years and has an attitude issue? Crap, I'd rather take Terrell tbh, would be cheaper and heck, at least we know he can still play a little bit. I know I'd be pissed if the Rams gave Plax that kind of money...
TO can not still kinda play, he was pretty terrible the last 2 years and now hes nursing a torn ACL. plax should at least be well rested lol
At least he's healthy and not coming off an ACL injury....... But I get it......T.O. is a saint and Burress is a cancer.
lol @ some of the Steelers boards wanting to keep El and Battle over Burress...they're freaking out...
Ah, memory lapse, forgot TO blew his ACL out. Still, I don't understand why every one is falling over their feet to get Plax...
I don't think anyone is falling over their feet to get him. He's most likely a low risk, high reward player...
I have mixed feeling about Plax coming to the G Men. He could cause trouble with his off the field problems. But he also could be great with on field stats. Without him in the '08 superbowl I don't think we could of won it. So ill take the risk and take him
