Adam Caplan of FOXSports.com reports the Oakland Raiders and franchised outside linebacker Kamerion Wimbley have agreed to terms on a five-year contract extension. According to Caplan, the deal is worth $48 million and includes $29 million in guarantees. A 2006 first-round pick out of Florida State by the Cleveland Browns, Wimbley recorded 248 tackles and 26.5 quarterback sacks his first four seasons in the league. Traded to the Raiders for a 2010 third-round draft choice, which the Browns used on quarterback Colt McCoy, Wimbley had 58 tackles and a team-high nine quarterback sacks last season. The final year of Wimbley's rookie contract voided, and the Raiders place the "exclusive" franchise tag, worth $11.312 million in guaranteed base salary, on Wimbley prior to the lockout.
