Just days after the Jets cut ties with Braylon Edwards, the troublesome wideout reportedly was present when a member of his entourage cut up an employee at a Michigan bar. Early yesterday morning, according to a report by Fox 2 in Detroit, two individuals in Edwards’ entourage were arrested for allegedly assaulting employees at a bar in Birmingham, Mich. The report stated an argument between Edwards’ friends and bar employees got dicey in the kitchen, where one employee was “sliced with a knife.†It is not the first brush with the law for Edwards, who recently pleaded guilty to DUI and is on probation for an assault charge in Cleveland. Edwards faces no charges over this latest incident, but the publicity cannot help an unsigned free agent who may face discipline from the league under its personal-conduct policy stemming from last September’s DUI.
