The Twitter reports coming out of the Philadelphia Eagles training camp are not good this morning as defensive tackle Mike Patterson went down with reported convulsions before some practice drills with fellow linemen. Les Bowen tweeted, “Patterson is conscious, moving arms, cart is waiting but Rick Burkholder just stabilizing Patterson’s head.†He also reports an ambulance has arrived and paramedics are treating him. Heard he's being treated treated for dehydration. If that is indeed the case, I hope this helps these guys realize they aren't freaking Superman and need to keep the fluids flowing.
Sounds like he is fine. Trey Wingo is reporting No after effects and he's up and stable, joking with hospital people, texting...lol. Good to hear.
Early diagnostic reports reveal he suffered from a sudden overwhelming sense of awe at the talent surrounding him. He is expected to make a rapid and full recovery and will be moved to bunk with Nnamdi to help inoculate him with awesomeness so as to avoid any further instances.
Poor bastard. I know I'd be a little weak in the knees if I had to play around Pro Bowler after Pro Bowler.
News sounds scary on Patterson...going to require surgery or radiation for a couple blood vessels that are tangled at his brain...
Link? Might be possibly horrible.....might be relatively minor based on what you said I'm guessing they found an arterio-venous malformation which can often be fixed with interventional radiology techniques pretty simply.
Was on a radio report. They say it was a congenital tangling of blood vessels near his skull/brain that would need surgery or radiation treatment.
