Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports the Jets announce the release of wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery. Cotchery, 29, was healthy coming off back surgery, but the cap-strapped Jets saved $2 million under the cap and $1.8 million worth of salary by making the move. His replacement is expected to be Derrick Mason. National reporters have speculated that Cotchery could resurface in San Diego with former college teammate Phillip Rivers. The two played together at North Carolina State. Source: Jason La Canfora: Twitter.com
Good luck, sir! I wouldn't mind him in New Orleans if we already didn't have a stack of offensive weapons, lol. There's no room for him.
I could see him landing in Cleveland...Browns failed to address that in free agency and he just seems like a Cleveland Brown.
